Welcome to my blog!

I decided to start this blog while pregnant with my 2nd child. After a pretty ordinary 1st pregnancy, and spending 7 weeks in hospital, I wanted to have somewhere I could come to jot down my thoughts and experiences for my 2nd pregnancy.

I’ve found it really therapeutic having this space to come and vent/whinge/cry about what was going on with the pregnancy, and I’m sure once Harper gets older, I’ll find it equally valuable in posting mad ramblings caused by sleep deprivation!

So, I’m Allison – Ally or Al to my family and friends. My husband, Ian and I have been together since 2003 and we have two beautiful daughters, Isla (who is almost 4) and Harper, our little newborn.
